We adore pretty much every kind of flower here in the OFD office, from the humble little daisy to the perfectly pretty peony, right up to the bold Sunflower (well, not me on that one -Ed)!

We have seen all sorts of bouquet trends, but today we want to show you one that's perennially popular (no pun intended!) for being both chic but really cost-effective - bouquets and arrangements made with just one type of flower.

This style is super pretty, not to mention a great idea on how to make sure your wedding bouquet doesn't blow the budget.

As flowers are sold in bulk, the more types you have the more the cost goes up, so there's a bit price difference between opting for a bouquet and arrangements made with just one type of flower and elaborate arrangements with 12 different blooms.

Sticking to just one flower type is a smart way to save some cash but still end up with a stunning look. With that in mind we've gathered 13 of our favourite flowers that would work perfectly on their own in bouquet..

A beautiful large flower available in a range of colours, making it pretty perfect for a frugal fashion forward bouquet and our top pick for a Spring wedding. (We currently have a bunch sitting on the OFD office mantelpiece..)

Resembling pom poms you will only need 2 or three of these guys for a full bouquet. These can work great as a fun pop of colour, or for a more subdued look pick a pale pastel variety.
